a gun. People solve problems with their brains; not their guns. The great irony of this latest disaster is the Murdered Mother was the one who registered HER name for the gun so her kid could kill her!
For all of our love of 'freedom' and the gun in this country, we are an illiterate society. Tell me this: why does a person need to shoulder a Bushmaster, 223 Assault Rifle? Is he planning on going to war against the 711? Does he consider it a new toy? What will be its purpose for him? WHY does he want it? And why would his mother be stupid enough to sign for something like that? No, in this case, I think there are enough illiterates out there (I'm including the mother/school teacher in that group) that government intervention might just need to be in order to allow to rest of us to leave our homes and safely shop occasionally. Make them take a 4 year college course in gun handling and be sure all the psychological tests are run before you hand over a certificate or a gun. Run a drug and alcohol check. If that is in their background- anywhere, anytime, then they forfeit that right to own a gun- ever. That would reduce gun owners in this country by about 75% right there.

probably the situation of mental health and gun regulation need to be
looked at. I respect the USA. I believe in the USA. I believe that this great country will settle all their problems and soon. ....from an outsider looking in.
