Straightforward - it may amuse you, but it works! Car was towed the next morning, the mechanic replaced the alternator, and it was ready to go by noon. Can't beat that! Oh, and I put a "grateful" prayer in my God jar.

Sorry to hear that, it must have been an awful experience! I hope it gets straightened out soon, and a good mechanic might be useful as well...

i found a mechanic who comes to my house or wherever i am and he costs less than the shops and very dependable....i hope you can find one as well
