I guess it depends on how one looks at it, and whether or not that person likes to debate.

I don't feel that it's infringing on one's right to free speech.

Re: Katray2~

Oh, Wiley, I am so relieved you didn't get upset with me! Of course terrorism is hated and those who harm others must be stopped - no disagreement there, my good friend. Thank you for being You.,.

Re:

Jay, my argument stems from the fact of believing the constitution should be taken word for word period - I strongly disagree with that premise. Despite the imperfections and hypocrisies, there are outs for an expansion of liberties - liberties that had to be fought for and won by those who were still oppressed. The document in and of itself was not enough, hence the battles for worker's rights, women's rights, labor (child labor as one blaring example) and the end of slavery. There is the proof it was and is not the end- all for human rights. I  feel it was intended to be an outline for governance dependent on a democratic process.
So we have some agreement, thin as it may be..:) and I do understand there are people I cannot communicate with in any meaningful way.

A difference of opinion is one thing. And I know you trust your sources, as I trust mine, but when I talk about the good the constitution has done for human kind and you come back with slavery as an argument...Well that is apples and oranges as the constitution left an out for slavery. Not all of the Founding Fathers were rich white slave owners, thank God. Sometimes we can take what we believe to be facts too far. I do not mind a difference of opinion until it takes a road of its own and the subject is lost. We live in a divided nation and there is nothing I can say that will sway you, or nothing you can say that will sway me. Perhaps we should understand that and agree where we can, and leave the rest alone.

Katray2~

Well kiddo you are  a researcher, I am not that. Here's how it is.

I receive e-mails every day from 1 person who happens to be my best friend from airforce days. He's old and tired and alone too much, so a lot of days I'll get 10-20 e-mails from him, most of them are things one knows enough are definitely not to pass on, with photo's as well. Got me?-;)

This one was kind of a pleading story to pass it on and help mankind sort of thing. Now I'm a retired mechanic not a University grad, just like Art isn't, LOL so I used it for a blog post and anyway we all hate terrorism right?

Now you know I too have the utmost respect for you, admire your skill at research, hold no animosity towards you and certainly do not mind being told when I've F&%^$d up. We understand one another as always, my sister in Blogit, I love you as I do all my sisters.

If you are not bullying someone into silence,

then, no, I don't see how it could infringe on anyone.

I personally don't believe so. A debate, comparing the opinions and viewpoints between two people, is just that . . . a debate. People can question other people's points-of-view and still be civil. You have two choices . . . agree, or disagree. Apologies shouldn't be necessary, again, as long as the debate remains civil. That's just my opinion . . .
