This is exactly why I try to keep up with current events including the political news since there 1,600 pages of new regulations in a short period of time. I need to know what direct effect they can have on me.

Big brother, and his little brother the wire thief have been at us for a long time. I have one debit card from an account that we keep very little money in and that's it...No credit cards. Thank you so much for this post.

I had seen the article before - can't remember where. Anyone trying to get money from one of my cards is in for a sad time!

Wiley read this to me earlier and my Aust. card that I absolutely need is a

paywave thing. So I immediately contacted 24 hr service in Aust, as it is night time and they re-emburse any theft 1005 and they have not had this particular problem because that chip thingy doesn't have my full name nor those little numbers from the back of the card.

Thank you for the warning love.

You can buy a little aluminum case for your cards.

I've seen these, but don't actually have one.  Looks less... peculiar... than aluminum foil, though.

Simplifying life makes things so... complicated!

Maybe it's not in Canada, my cards don't have that but Kabus' aussie card does.

It is amazing the capabilities of scammers and those who commit identity theft in general.

Yikes! I had no idea.

I checked and one of my debit cards has an rfid... Guess I'll wrap it in foil. Better to let 'em think I'm a nut than to lose my grocery money. :)

Perhaps it is better to carry one card with a limit Taps or carry the card in one's shoe, we shall have to think of ways to outwit the criminals.
