That lady is usually pictured with a snake...I do not look on her countenance unless I need to do so. This picture...the ladies are the ones doing the muscle work it seems, so certainly NOT British!!

It's somewhat strange to somehow connect intertwining snakes with health and hygene! But if that's the symbol these organizations choose to use . . .

I have a photo of a snake, but I can't say much about it . I think some chemists had big coloured flasks of liquid I always wondered during the war if they would be destroyed with dire consequences or rather exciting ones, but they remained intact and for years after.

Peaceful river scene could be timeless.

Nice post. The snake's on the Doctor's symbol as well as pharmacists.

Love the photo - reminds me of an impressionist painting.
