It's good to know that you're okay now. Well, life is greater than we think. Live it up!

I'm glad it is in the past now and you have better days ahead of you now.

That was a very brave thing you did, to make that call after all of the work that you had done already.  A lot of people would just stuck with it to save face, and ended up being miserable.  I'm glad to see that it worked out so well for you.  I can tell from your spirited entries about the car wash that it really means a lot to you, it's not just the fallback plan that it may have started out as.  Thanks for sharing your experiences, as hard as they may have been to get through at the time.

How many times have we all muttered to ourselves "If only I could go back with the knowledge I have now!" Some hurdles are inevitable, but I think things turned out alright.

I started at University of Utah with the intentions of a history degree, but marriage and children overwhelmed me. I think both you and your father are happy with the way things turned out.

How good that you realized that teaching wasn't for you...just think if you

were a teacher and suddenly in a classroom one day you knew this was all wrong. And i do know that your life is happy working with Dad,.

I am  remembering wanting to be a nurse until I found out you had to be good in math.  Now to think back why would I want to be a nurse.  Its good you realized that you didnt want to be a teacher before you went any further.  I dont think I would want to be a teacher these days.  My oldest daughter did the same thing, went to college to be a teacher and never got her credentials.  She is a librarian now.

Well you can't turn back now FS. Pity about the girl , but as I have said before if you were in Iceland you would have probably have had a crush on that nice little Eskimo gal in the next igloo. We all suffer just the same and girls once died from a broken heart.

Ah yes - we all need to step back now and then to see where we're going, and if we're on the road meant for us. It can be difficult, but you did it, and are much happier for it. Kudos, FSI!
