Re: WileyJohn

thanks Wiley, they are gorgeous flowers, they sometimes grow wild in meadows here (when you kind find a meadow) and are one of my favourite sights

Re: 2902

Thank you!  I confess that when I wrote this I wasn't 100% sure if I was personifying summer or imagining a person it was just an image that spoke most strongly of summer to me

Too many of those (tender burns) are not so good for a person, but the poem is lovely.

Lovely and those celandines, I had to look up, are lovely yellow flowers with heart shapes so they fit beautifully into your wonderful poem and furthered my education my friend.

That's the way to do it, but don't forget the Sun cream. I think you might be lying in wet grass, but the poem is quite warming/

PS

Like Keats, you even put the personified season in a reclining position.  To Autumn is one of my favorite poems - it teases the reader into trying to actually see and hear autumn!

A lovely personification!  I almost feel I know and like the old fellow.  Keats did something very much like in "To Autumn", giving the season a mood and almost human appearance.
