Husband is really experiencing tough love and it may save him. I hope that you just gave him the clothes a through the door and bolted it again.

It sounds like your grandkids have not been affected in any permanent way by their grandfather's issues. This speaks volumes about the way you and the rest of your family have worked to give them a wholesome life. It sounds like you, your daughter, and son-in-law are all very take-charge individuals.

I think that one day at a time is darn good advise. All that you have gone through reminds me that I must watch myself every minute and everyday. I have only been clean and sober for the last eight years with 47 years of substance abuse and drinking before that. It's a new world for me and I want to keep it that way...I wish you all the luck in the world. Be blessed.
