Thank you Wiley. I say that prayer a lot. It gets me through the day or moment. Let go and let God is my favorite slogan and I am trying to do just that. I am not going to let this destroy my life. I am determined to have a happy life inspite of his decisions.

Yes Kabu, you are right. My son-in-law met my husband at the door and told him we knew everything and he was not welcome at any of our houses. I pray he chooses life too.

I haved answered your e-mail luv. Your uncle is telling you how it is I am sure. Your mind is yours to use or lose, it is a terrible time for you but prayer to ask for the courage to do what you must is all that you have to have faith in.
"God grant me the Serenity, to accept the things I cannot change, the Courage to change the things I can, and the Wisdom to know the difference."
Don't let the possibility he may commit suicide get in your way. There is nothing you can do about that. You need GOD but you cannot be GOD.
I can tell you as a recovered drunk I used that suicide BS too and my wife at that time said one time; 'Do it' . Well obviously I didn't. Alcoholics unfortunately are more focussed on hurting others not themselves mostly.
Run everything through your head and 'let go and let God.'

Can she do it????? Yes she can!!!!!!! Uncle is right. He has not stopped
drinking and firmly believes that he can do his drinking from any one of his families homes. He has to be on his own for this last chance. If he dies that has been his choice. I pray for him and for all of you to have strength. That he may choose life.

Yes, Tamijo, you CAN do it! God is your rock. Call to Him. Lean on Him, for He is your strength and your refuge and your shade. I know your sadness, and I feel for your family. But your therapist is right. Your husband has made his choice. You simply can't help someone who obviously doesn't want to be helped.
I will continue to pray.

Yes, resentment is a hard thing to carry. I know it well. My husband
has had many "addictions" that I am trying to accept and move on each day. I say the Serenity prayer many times in my heart. And yes, Father's day is pretty hard under your circumstances but know that each of us are accountable for our actions. That one was a hard one to break and overcome. I took all my husband's actions and sins onto my shoulders for awhile but realized, I was the only one in "prison." Remember... In Jeremiah, "I am the Lord; the God of all mankind. Is there anything too hard for me?" Praying for you and your situation.
