Re:

Jay, he told me last night that he has never felt worthy, not even as a child. I told him that we all loved him and no one is mad at him. We just want him to be healthy and happy again.

Re:

Justi, I've never heard of Celebrate Recovery, but I will look for it. My husband never drank away from our home. The basement seems to be the demon in our house.

I am glad to read that your husband is getting better.

I do not blame for being cautious, and though I am not suggesting that you let him come home just yet, remember that he needs a support system. At least I did, I would have never gone through all this just for me, in my mind I was not worth it, but my family was. Have a nice Sunday.

Dear one stick to your guns. Do you have a program called Celebrate Recovery in your area? These are usually at churches, they are so good. Staying away from those they were around before is the big issue often. Once out he must not go into the old play pens again. I shall pray  for you and him.

Re:

Me too TAPS. Everytime I talk to someone new, I find out they have problems too. It's amazing how many people suffer with addiction.

So many people having so much trouble with alcohol.  What a pity.  It has always been so.  I think just about every family on earth has their share of alcohol-related problems.

Re: actually dear friend I understand your two older daughters. One night in

Believe me Kabu, I am being extremely cautious - as I warned my daughters to be. He asked if he could come back tomorrow. Nope! I'm not ready to see him every day!

actually dear friend I understand your two older daughters. One night in

the half way house is far too soon to be thinking that he is on a new road.
