Re: jacenta

Thanks!  I haven't been brave enough to take my dog with me yet, he's skiddish sometimes even when we walk n he's almost tripped me when we were running (someone started a car next to him), so I don't know if it's a good idea.

calia14...

Nice wheels!

I use to love bike riding, but after my 5 children were old enough to influence me to ride miles to the closest store, I found my legs just couldn't do it.

"You two older boys go and be careful and mom's taking the rest home with me, I explained exhausted, after only a mile."

I imagine your cycling is very enjoyable, but at this point I walk miles and only ride my terrific boys bike around the block with a small pet safely in a basket or the large dog trotting happily behind me.  LOL

Thanks for visiting me and leaving me your nice comment!   Welcome back to you, also.

Re: UtahJay

Actually, it's really funny that you say that.  You see, the only place I had ever ridden a bike was Connecticut, which is a rolling succession of hills.  The first time I rode here in Florida, I was thinking "Something is different, the resistance is different.  Is there something wrong with this bike?" Then it dawned on me, everything is flat!  There is no peddling hard up the hill, then flying down.  You can still get going fast and then coast, but the resistance is all wrong.  Its like a change in gravity.

I remember peddeling up the hill just to coast down the other side.
