Kabu - that is simply not the case

There is no spoiled relationship, just an elderly lady sometimes forgetting which decade she is currently in.

Ah well, some parents never see their Children as adults capable of making adult decisions. I am sorry that your relationship with your Mother is spoilt by this.

Kabu - Re: Jeff's ex. wife would seem to be a treasure. I think perhaps

My mother is not capable of that type of humor (though it is possible). I think it is a hold over from 40+ years ago in how she managed to overcome her disapointment in my not believing as she does (which is as crazy as they come) by telling herself that someday I will mature and see the light. That might have been rational thinking when I was 14 years old  . . . but at 57?

I'm sorry I'm laughing a bit myself..:)

Your answer was right on, Gomedome, but the "defense" was rather lacking. Oh well, guess they were trying to help in their way. Hey sheep do get fleeced, but it is pretty telling that religion is a good excuse to make some bucks.

Jeff's ex. wife would seem to be a treasure. I think perhaps your Mother
