Well, I'm back, but I'm not sure I can make any more sense this time than I did before.  My writing brain has not been working well the last couple of days.  But, my reading brain very much was entertained by this post as there was much truth in it and humor at the same time.  I just came back tonight because I said I would.  I'm not much certain of what I said last time or how I needed to say it, so I will just say what comes to my mind after this reading.   Jesus is always worthy of "outing" though most of the "outers" leave much to be desired, which always prompts scorn from unbelievers.   Though Jesus himself taught separation of church and state, it is difficult for a person who truely believes that "God is; and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him" to maintain that separation when in office.

Xeno-x - Re: well i vote against the evil

I stop short of using the word evil but there is no doubt in my mind that the part of the evangelical movement rooted in fundamentalism is capable of dumbing down entire segments of a country's youth demographic.

WileyJohn - thank you for the welcome back

The entire election process is rife with that which would offend anyone with a modicum of common sense. When you speak of a "candidate who has a God other than Jehovah/Jesus" (paraph.) . . . it is only a matter of time. In our part of the world, one need only look at the ethnic communities of Brampton ON and Surrey BC, both have quintupled in the last 2 decades. It simply becomes a birthrate driven countdown at this point.

Gomedome

Welcome back my friend. I too am disgusted with all the candidate 'God/Religion talkers'. One day we will all be upset when the candidate has a God other than Jehovah/Jesus or the one the present candidates believe in.

Re: Re: TAPS. - okay, I have to ask

Fair enough, . . . I've also deleted my response.

Re: TAPS. - okay, I have to ask

I didn't word that very well.  I can see where I have puzzled you.  How about just deleting that comment I made and when my head is working right I will try again.

Kabu: Our PM is a perfect example of what I am speaking of

I voted for him because he seemed to be the one candidate who would least embarrass our country on the international stage. Her had also served an apprenticeship of sorts by be being a minority government PM for a couple of years prior. A typical case of voting for the lesser of all evils.

Gome....there isn't much to argue with here; not from me anyway

Once upon a time I was politically active, now I am just burned out.

Down Under in Australia there is no one I would wish to vote for so it is definitely vote for the party and hope for the best. sad!!!

Here in Canada no one seems to like our PM. but he seems to me to be holding it all together fairly well....but I don't get to vote here. Still at least our system doesn't take two years to resolve.
