I very much enjoy reading your blog, Amanda - it isn't crap! And Thank you for the kind words; I like to lighten things up or at least try to..:)

PenniYou are too funny.

Just too funny.  I may have even heard some laughter.  You have inspired me to Stop Trying How To put Word 2010 pages numbers on my novel.  I spent 3 days, even searching the internet.  I am horribly frustrated!!!  But now and then my dementia kicks in and I forget I'm sad.  Ho Ho    You can be sure I'll be back on your post here.  You sound jolly and good humored.  Had fun reading your "stuff", not my "crap"

Tough love eh? I don't feel too loved when I'm told I'm gonna burn in hell forever and ever, lol. Thanks for sharing, UtahJay.

Re: Penni

Shades of the Old Testament? I've never had a Muslim threaten me, but the fundies are pretty thick in these parts, lol. Thanks for sharing, Nautikos.

When I was young my family pestered me too, I knew they did it because they loved me, but I think that had something to do with waiting until I was 57 to return to church, but it wasn't the pestering that did it, it was a prayer answered when I thought I had lost the ear of God. Welcome to Blogit, you will catch on in a flash...its a snap.

Those who pressure are not living the way the Lord intends us to live! Faith is a personal journey and it should be respected as such! I hope you can find a way to tactfully tell them that your decisions rest with you only and they truly do not know your fate no more than they know there own! One thing I have read in the Holy Bible is that folks are going to be very surprised whom they meet in Heaven. The ones who throw the Lord down the throats of others are surely the ones who will not be going to eternal life as it says in the Scripture! They need to respect your choices as you respect theirs! Good luck on this one! sam

Penni

LOL! Of course, don't think Allah will just let you get away by simply dying! You'll also burn in Hell for eternity, but it's described in more interesting detail than anywhere in the Bible, I believe...

'Those that deny Our Revelations We will burn in fire. No sooner will their skin be consumed than We shall give them other skins so that they may truly taste the scourge. Surely God is mighty and wise.' (Surah 4:56)

Ol' Mo, (as I call him generally) shows some strong sadistic tendencies, and not just in this verse...

BTW, I'm an atheist...
