That next-to-last sentence is what I was trying to say about
King in my poem about him yesterday - decent people with bigot traditions didnn't realize just how evil those traditions were until he forced them to enforce evil laws. Their consciences then realized the truth and changed. By suffering, he made people find their inner goodness.
Where'd we hear that story before!
