I hope that's a good thing... Eventually I'll get around to the not so sweet stuff. My relationship with my dad is complicated, like a blind roller coaster ride.

I do of course tell him, but as his illness is literally in his head, the words are not often understood in their fullness. The feelings, though, I know he gets.

Dear abanerjee, that's a sweet prayer, and warmly put, but alas... Dad's prognosis is for 8 weeks only, probably less. In Heaven he will recover, where all is put right and the eyes opened anew.

I know he will love these cherished moments they will carry him sweetly to the inevitable, of course you must tell him or if you have again and again, many are not so lucky.
