Grandma's Right!

My grandmother was a wonderful woman but she never wanted to listen to me when I told her she was wrong. Maybe it was because I was a child. Maybe it was because I questioned everything and she was tired of explaining herself. Or, most likely, she simply didn't want to find out she was wrong.

No place else was this truer than in religion. Things she learned when she was a child stayed with her until she died. She never wanted to learn about the truth and said that I was just making stuff up when I tried to show her the truth. The books were liars, and anything that didn't match her idea of God was wrong.

She still loved me but her closed mind and bigoted ways grew very old...

"and gain control over people"
I agree, this seems to be a primary motivation behind a lot of the things they hype...
