I never understood "happy tears".... My Mom uses the phrase often, yet I maybe a bit to literal!! Nice simile!

Tears at times tear, excepting on occasions happy, never cold. they are cathartic.

My tear ducts literally have dried, but the tears still try to come on occaision.

MS Straight forward. Surely you are not that unhappy once I was a dragon I think and my tears drowned my fiery breath. I think you are quite amusing at times.
