if fools ranting on, showering the world with their ignorance has a use
it is to wake up the sleepy and content to realize that we have voices for a reason. and it would be a shame for every peaceful person to be passive.
Please don't go.
People who believe in free will don't coagulate into groups the way those do who believe that numbers make them right. There is power in a mob to make things happen. If we are too protective of our free-will, and refuse to join a group for that reason, the unity of those others will defeat what is quietly, privately, individually and simply right.
At least until we all wake up and find out how things really are.

I know you are a loving person, Dear Kabu. I'd like to think I am too - that's why hatred spewed so unfairly and falsely gets my attention - if nobody ever spoke out against it, how many human rights for instance would we have? Martin Luther King Jr. along with Jesus are my role models - be a voice, firm and clear, but protest violence and hatred of fellow man for any reason or cause. It is self defeating and destructive to all that is good in this world - peace between nations and citizens, a harmony of working together for the betterment of everyone, even those you may not agree with. Those things do still exist; I am not a pessimist but strive for realism. Because apathy and it's attendant blindness allow a darkness of spirit to grow and thrive. My view; I've probably said enough in this medium.

nonsense around to keep people smiling. I do have friends here all my friends are here...and you are one of course darling one. and I love my friends deeply.
I wouldn't read a blog if it was going to upset me..... in fact I don't.

Jay, I disagree - the Gifford shooting happened because of right wing rhetoric - whipped up fury at liberals and Democrats until it pushed the shooter over the edge. I never said the killer was right wing, that's an unknown to me at this point, but the atmosphere preceding the tragedy is not. And I'm not stating my viewpoint as absolute fact and barring any argument or disagreement on threat of you being called "child of Satan" or in the post today, unfit to be an American citizen. Big difference...

Raye, the Gifford shooting was committed by a nut job who had nothing to do with right wing anything, getting facts stright is a two way street, as for the rest of the information, if you feel it is incorect simply point out the facts in the comment space so the rest of us can get it stright, but if you are getting your facts from the main stream news media, then you will need to fact check your information as well.

I'm not sure who or what you are referencing here but it is an opinion until a citing is made otherwise! I try to stay away from commenting on political blogs per their content because I am not versed enough to say one way or another! If this place is beyond what you can deal with then perhaps a break is in order! However, I just do not know what one should or should not do! This is a writing site for me to post my poetry and that's about all I am interested in! I hope you can find a way to stay and voice your opinion and put the facts out as you deem fitting! Politics always seems to lead to an argument of one type or another and it could be a good argument in the truest sense of the word but too many people do no understand the proper use of argument! Alas, it tires me so! I know I haven't been much help but be who you are and at the end of the day call it good! sam

opinions are either, but opinion is the key word here. I believe in freedom of speech. This stuff is posted in News and rather hatefully presented as fact. Hate is another key word. In my country, people go over the edge fairly easily as of late it seems. And being "informed" your leader is a devout Muslim (stirring that particular strand of hate against Muslims) and is determined to destroy your nation is a call to action for those who aren't sane.

WEll Raye the sad fact is most people do not feel strongly about anything. Frankly I don't care what opinions folk have, as long as it does not physically harm anyone. People are not usually stirred into action until actions smack them in the face. I know you mean well and have to be admired for your fortitude. Honestly though, I cannot see anyone on these blogs willing to champion a cause. You can't win them all Raye, but you can still write lovely poetry. Now don't be mad at me. Well you can if you want to , I probably deserve it.
