As Utah said - it's a certain feeling of 'togetherness' when looking at the sky while thinking our distant loved ones are sharing the view...beautifully written!

What a wonderful wish, I used to look up at the moon when I was in Okinawa and Viet Nam and wonder if those I cared about were watching too, thinking and wishing in my heart as your poem suggests.
