Re:

Your staunch defense of Bachmann’s gaffs is admirable, but can hardly assuage the simple aspect that she either refuses to get her facts straight before she speaks, or she really is as ignorant on these topics as she appears to be. I’m sorry, but a rock group from Europe who mixes up which city or town they’re in is nowhere near as bad as a presidential candidate who mixes up established historical facts about their own country. And if she’s going to bring it up, whether she, or anyone else, cares or not about Elvis Presley’s birthday, it still should not alleviate her obligation to at least know when the man was born, and when he died. To me, all of the other incidentals of Bachmann’s verbal oversights carry less weight than the fact that she incorrectly and inaccurately brought them up in the first place. Like I stated about a fool removing all doubt; if you don’t know what you’re talking about, keep your mouth shut . . . especially if you’re running for political office. Regardless, you are right. The bottom line is, Michele Bachmann is just not best fit for the job as president, and to be honest with you, at this point in time, I really don’t know who is. Thanks for the poignant reply. It’s always nice to have intelligent dialogue with a well-armed and pensive opponent!

Point 1. If it was not for the tireless work of the abolitionists founders, and their 3/5's clause, slavery would have lasted years longer in the United States than it did.

Point 2. Even if Petraeus was not in command in Libya, (remember, no American general was, it was some Frenchman or some Englishman because General Obama lead from behind and let NATO be in charge) his advise however (Petraeus's) would be very valuable in the matter.

Point 3. Your right, she was confused, just like when u2 was in town and talked to the crowd thinking they were in another city, it happens when your on the road a lot, and OMG I'm never going to listen to U2 again.

Point 4. You are right again, John Wayne wasn't born in her home town, his parents were their house is a land mark there and the name wasn't Wayne.

Point 5. Who cares when Elvis was born.

Point 6. At least she never claimed to have visited 57 states...so far.

Point 7. And no, I won't vote for her either, but not because I think she is stupid, even you would be proud to have her list of accomplishments, I just don't think she is the best fit for the job, but if it is between her and Obama, well that is a different story...godd post though.
