Thank you Justi it has been such a dry spell and the rain was warm I was only inspecting the apples and I had shower afterwards.

Having not bothered to master the art of photos and writing on one blog, I have to tell you that yesterday was Saint Swithin's day I think if that is the right name. It was apple christening day It may have rained before midnight I don't know until I ask the milkman. Anyway this morning it was raining steadily and the apples look ready to eat, well some of them. So the old saying goes that we shall get forty days or nights of rain. I was poddling about in the rain and my brother called in. he said you are a peculiar person of course he is a Mensa man. So I asked him what he meant by such a strange remark. He said well nearly every day you wear a hat and today as it is raining you do not wear one.
