O.K.,  I'm convinced. My crock-pot has been sitting idle because it is so big and heavy to lift for cleaning. Now the temptation is too great. ...must start using it again.

yes, Rocking - I'm among the readers who want to know how a slow-cooked creme brulee came out!  Mal

R.R..we use our slow cooker a LOT....
and it really does bring out the special flavor of a roast of beef  amongst so many other meals...whoever gave it to us way back when as a gift, really did us a favour....

I have used a slow cooker for years and they are wonderful! My kids had such wild schedules it helped me keep a hot meal in them at just about any time of the day, I always had two of them going! lol sam

I have never used a slow cooker but would love one....especially to be able to just throw everything in and is done later.....would be a great thing in our house ha ha

Y How about new slang for the good life? I wish you slow cookin’. That might become a new idiom. BC-A, Bill’s RRRst

My preference is the slow cooker. I grew up with my grandma using it. The delicious scents would waft through the house. So many recipes, so little time

I must admit that I have never made crème brulee, or any other dessert in a slow cooker.  But, you give me a good idea here.  Do you have any kind of recipe for a fruit dessert kind of like a blueberry grunt or something to make in a slow cooker?  It would save me heating up the oven, and kitchen, on these three-digit-temp days while my out-of-town company is here.
