FSI,

Yes, she will be sorely missed by many, that's for sure.

Wow! I did not hear this until I read your blog. I was lucky enough to work for a certain individual that was very close to President Ford. They remained friends until the President passed away. I would periodically bring the ole' man to his ranch in Meeker, Colorado. A couple of years ago, I was driving thru the pan-handle, Northwest, Texas, and the ole' man was telling me how he wished he could have introduced me to our former President, Gerald Ford. I knew that he had several presidents over to his house, but, was kind of skeptical of how well he actually knew them. I think he recognized my skeptosism because he picked up his cell phone and called Mrs. Betty to check on her. I actually said hello to her over the phone and when we hung up, he ordered her 4-5 dozen of yellow roses and had them sent to her residence. Very cool experience for me. The "ole' man" I am referring to is a well-known business owner (oilfield) and political advisor. Or, I should say he was. He had a very bad stroke a few months back and is in a nursing home. Poor fella'. But, I am glad you posted this so I could read. Thanks.
