actually, the only subdued service I've attended in a while was Easter..
Everyone seemed in a hurry to leave and a little cranky. I surmise those are the people who feel obligated to be in church at least once a year to observe a miracle they totally forget happened the rest of the year.

lol, yeah it is sad. but there are really churches like that around here

Wow, where do you attend church?
My church is nothing like what you described! I get there early for the music and I can't think of the last time I didn't enjoy the service. The church you describes sounds a little like Westboro maybe
