Time seems more and more to me to be a mutually accepted
construct that has no real basis in reality. We all agree it's 8:00 a.m. in this arbitrary time zone, but elsewhere it is another time, perhaps even another day. Byzantine dates, years, etc. differ from the Gregorian calendar. It's so confusing sometimes.
