I think you are right not to respond to the letter. First thing you need to do. Pray and grieve. You have some of your own healing to do yourself. Once this is completed, you will have your answer! I am speechless with grief and good old fashioned anger.
I do believe in karma and will pray for you and for your Niece....actually I think that she having become your daughter and her children your grand babies is the best healing and the blessing from this horror.

You cannot believe HOW MANY TIMES a month I'm writing that to MY NIECE!
My dilemma I guess is rather to even "ANSWER HIM" or not..................I WISH he'd NEVER written to me and let sleeping dogs lie............

I think it might help if you discussed the situation with a
therapist, especially one who's trained to deal with issues of incest and pedophelia. I certainly am not qualified to offer any advice on dealing with the people involved in this situation. Unfortunately, the issue is not all that unusual. Far too many families are poisoned by such. An objective outsider, one who can advise you how to handle all concerned, it seems to me, is needed here. I doubt Blogit or any online site is a useful forum for dealing with such profound issues.
