were Sunfish, but they were so much fun! My experience piloting a catamaran was another matter.
At one time ten or twenty years ago I built big four-foot radio-controlled model sailboats - scale schooners, actually.Carrying so much sail and having no daggerboard, sailing them needed constant attention and skill - I only had the first. The first of them foundered in the middle of a lake because it heeled SO far over, the access hatch floated off. I actually hired a diver at sixty dollars an hour to retrieve it (it took over two years to build), but it was summer and the water was so cloudy he couldn't find it despite those big white sails.
