Re: I know that sobbing as I drove away from babysitters, with four children

Abuelita,

Thank you for the suggestions.  I have thought about doing medical transcription and/or medical billing.  I am also looking into doing editing on the side. It's just that I know it'll take a while before the money really comes in well enough to support myself and my son.

I hope the chemo is working. I'd hate for you to have to suffer and not have it work.  You are always in my thoughts and prayers.

I know that sobbing as I drove away from babysitters, with four children
thinking that I had no choices until I hustled some. Did artistic sweatshop work
and then bought my own tools with the extra $ and then was flying on my own.

Being really ill now and feeling poisoned for five days out of every 21, I need a
job that can be done in between throwing up and napping like the dead,
heheheheh.

My brother is a lawyer defending prisoners who have committed felonies.
He is bilingual and so, get more clients than most as the system
 needs more bilingual lawyers.

He lives in his car going from one city to another, one prison to another,
to jails, etc. So, he bought dragonspeak and dictates his fresh notes as he drives.

Great solution to wasted driving time.
But he has NO time to bill the federal government for his time as he is truly overworked.
So, I volunteered to do his billing for him.

Awaiting installation of Excel 2003 and his notes and I will be on a roll,
soon as I had chemo today and shall be a poisoned dog and a few days, starting tomorrow.

The first thing is insomnia the first night, so I visit Blogit and try to catch up now months later.

I suggest doing something like I am doing at home, so that you can be with your baby. My
DIL does medical transcription and billing from her home.........two young kids,
who go to daycare for about 7 hours a day, but NOT everyday. She decides.

Praying for your financial salvation. They got lottery tickets there ?!?!?!?

Some weather can be really rough, but nothing is really so difficult to
accept

Aww Jemmie...

I agree with Kabu in that I feel sad for you too.  But as she rightly says, you need to stay positive for you and your beautiful son.  God is with you all and He will send something your way in His time.  Don't distress...Good WILL come from this!

Until then...

My thoughts & prayers go out to you & your family. My husband hasn't worked for a year(wasn't able to get any benefits)& I work from home. Some months, I don't earn quite enough for us. Still, we have each other & for that, I'm truly grateful.

My heart goes out...
To you, for all the good that does.  I found myself permanently laid of due to a disability.  But at 64 I had the safety net of SSI but is still doesn't fit with my plans and changed all of them.  I'm looking for work I can do but the truth of the economy has really hit home.  Good luck to you.

Wow! I'm sure that comes as a shocker, but life has a way of focusing
us in areas where we need to be focused...things WILL work out.  Keep a positive outlook and enjoy every moment with your son!

Yes you have some loyal readers!
That's disappointing about the job. Don't panic or at least try to allocate only 30 mins a day to panic. It's not the best use of your precious time or energy. Take a deep breath, believe in yourself, and start to make a list of people you can ask  to let you know about  opportunities they hear of. Then list yourself with agencies. Contact companies and ask them who to approach. Take care.
