Yes, there is a stigma with mental issues. The more people that are open about it, the easier it will be to understand. No one should have to hide themselves away because of it.

yes if she had a physical chronic illness people would be very
sympathetic but unfortunately mental illness is always the disorder to hush about. So really sad.
