I 'll have to write you a dear John letter. You see John in the short time I have known you you have raised an enigma in my faltering excursions into the rituals performed by certain bloggeters. When I first encountered you, we will forget that rompy pompy rolling about in war zones, by the skin of my teeth I escaped that ordeal. No I am talking about your criticism of every poem you read, which in a morbid way I enjoyed. Now the old John has vanished and we have a new John, so nice to every one. I think John that women like consistency . One doesn't want to marry a rascal and find out he is a Saint, I might be wrong. Pack up your troubles in your old kit bag and smile boys that's the style. What's the use of worrying it never was worth while. An old Army song. Oh I quite like the new John, he seems more lively. I know in the past I have been slated for saying disagreeable things and I don't want to reconstruct this comment, which I don't expect you to read, my fingers keep wanting to write a poem, but my brain says take time off, some of us have to make a living into our dotage and unfortunately I am one of them. There that should get me a bit of sympathy. An usual style, but honest and amusing, written by a likable man
