In the dark of night the sky was clear as a bell, the stars bright, the partial moon perfect, then came the clouds, moving in, gradually filling in the void, blocking out the upward beauty.....but my heart remembered. I will look forward to the next clear night sky.

I was trying to see how the poem will end, but the last line explains it all. Thanks for sharing. Regards, chuck.

Hi. Not talking to myself because I just dont' feel like it right now, and can't hear myself. However, words on a sandpaper tounge, like the ole soft shoe or to hear the golden oldies like Mr Sandman, or if we can all stick out out tounges together--maybe even Mr Lollypop.

1st line blew me away--subtle and startling. The rest just seemed to flow, and I was brought into it. Loved the brevity and the unspoken connection of each word
