Azur
It can take forever just to sort through emails, which is what I've been doing all morning.  Good luck with the newspaper.

Congratulations on and Good Luck with the interview, Azur!
The ability to delegate effectively is a good skill, imo. I enjoyed your insights.

Congrats on the interview and are you going to be writing again for the newspaper?

As far as clutter and such --- I have a precious SIL who will come in to my home and his eyes meander about the whole time...One time I asked, "what is it?" and he said, "there's so much to look at, I get lost..." --- now, since I'm downsizing, it's bare in many places however, the books --- the books they are nearly on every corner and every nook --- that and paperwork.

People are unique - I find most so interesting.  I also find 'quiet' time to know more of myself.  This was a good blog note, Az ~ Elyse

Sometimes we have to decide to save our own sanity.
Sometimes we wait to say "no" until we have a meltdown. I'm working on cutting through the BS and setting limits on something right now. Won't win any popularity contests, but I may take some of the pressure off.

Azur

I'm not very good at keeping things properly sorted either - you should see my office sometimes - rather not, actually, LOL.

And about the other thing - I think people sometimes have fears they themselves are not aware of...

Go back to your group and tell them you're not in it for the money anymore.
Then you will be able to retire.

With the newspaper that is one of those be careful what you say! I think it is marvelous that they want you and that it is not politics so you can do it as well! Who knows on the contents of one's home! I say if it pleases you then it's fine! I know I have things in my home that others would never dream of having in theirs and likewise! It's about our comfort zone and for me that's all that matters at the end of the day! sam

glad you have got the nw job with the paper...go for it and your other
projects too and let other people worry about the state of the house etc. Ours looks just like writers live here.
