I feel so sorry for her and life has become really frightening it seems
but even more so I am convinced that you have done the right thing. Friend list...for sure and maybe the ex. is kind to her now she is dying. whatever happens it would have been awful for you to be mixed into a family situation not of your own. The list of horrors are endless. Good for you.
