Waste Land

Some how I feel you are talking about two different subjects here. Marriage and life after death but it is open to your interpretation as you know what this poem means to you. But I agree with Sam444 and Rumor.

p.s. Thanks for the interesting story about the fish ha ha. I am suprised that it managed to stay alive!

When I see waste land it always takes me to the Old Testament of the Holy Bible for it was the wrath of the Lord that caused them to occur; but He always brought it back to its original splendor! So I am in agreement that we must believe for the waste seems to eventually become the beauty even if it is harsh beauty at times! sam

This is lyrical ~ like a song, it could be ChCh - the colors you bring out are indeed warm - this is quite philosophical...E.E.

A wonderful poem.  One of my favorites here.
I have wandered much wasteland in my lifetime because it fascinates me.  I love searching out the why's and wherefore's and when's, never satisfied completely with the answers.  Some day....

C.C. ...you're right..this is not the place we truly belong...

that light glow up ahead isn't a left over Christmas decoration...if we all follow that glow perhaps we will indeed find out, that eventually we may all indeed play a part, and we'll leave this wasteland behind.....

either that, or perhaps we'll discover a torch discarded but not snuffed out.....
