I remember them well Rumor
I think they set a record for the 2B-SS combination who played longest together--played on one of the greatest teams ever the 1984 Tigers

I started watching baseball in the late 1990s, so I look at Clemens as a Yankee...Very few players make it easy like Cal Ripken.

jeff, now that I read this, I'm sure you're right....
A couple of guys I left off my list were Allan Trammel and Lou Whitaker..they came up together from the minors.....

If I remember correctly Rumor
Rodriquez and McClain didn't play for the Tigers at the same time, they were traded for each other by my long lost Washington Senators--But I've been wrong before.

I'm really glad that guys like....

Al Kaline, Norm Cash, Aurelio Rodriguez, Mickey Lolich and Denny McLain were DEtroit Tigers for their entire pro careers...I know I've missed others too...they all jelled at the same time and won the World Series in 1968.

now the Tigers trade like crazy, as do the other teams, and no one stays with one team for an entire career....the sports times have certainly changed....

Clemens will always be a Red Sox for me! I remember his high fastball when he was younger and how batters could never lay off the pitch! He would have had twice as many walks if they had! Just my humble thought! sam
