Re: On this point...
Food, when I first heard this news, I was shocked and horrified that our leaders could stoop to such lows in the name of war and greed, but I really shouldn't have been surprised, considering the source - Cheney - I've been meaning to get the book, haven't done so yet. Yes, war is hell indeed..

BTW
The name of the book is Fair Game.

On this point...
Read the book by Valerie Plame Wilson and how she, a covert CIA agent, had her cover blown, for what appeart to be political reasons.  It is part of the core reason some of our loved ones are in harms way, as they too follow their patriotic duty.  War, it has been said by others more famiar with it's devastation and much more articulate that I, is hell.

I understand your viewpoint, Dear Sam and empathize with your situation
But innocent people dying in wars does not protect freedom. This is complex but my point is that with transparency of actions by our elected officials our troops can be kept out of harm's way by not engaging in unnecessary invasions and the harming of civilians for the purpose of an imperialistic agenda. Which we have had in practice in this country for decades, regardless of political party. These are my beliefs; what I see. I hope and pray your son, all soldiers actually will return home safe and whole.

While I appreciate your position, this leaking of information puts my son, a soldier, at great risk! When folks like you Dear Raye speak out like this it makes me all the more proud that he is willing to die to make sure you keep that right! sam

Re: wel lit isn't all the USA...there was a coalition of countries .......
With the U.S. as the biggest and strongest force - troops, money, killing machines, agenda...a coalition of the willing was mostly an illusion spoon fed by Bush and company in the beginning stages of the invasion to placate the populace.
Thank you for the input, Dear Kabu!
