Thanks for reading one and all as the sun sets on another day of quiet
inactivity here in Camelot of the North.

Your description of your son and DIL
has been exactly what it's like here. it's been like taxi central here.  And along with all those rehearsals,
end of year events, concerts, school discos,  comes a lot of speeches and dashing out to get secret Santas. One thing I did while travelling is sort Christmas shopping.  Til soon.

It is certainly a logistical challenge isn't it
but I do love being at the heart of all the excitement.

that must be hard to keep track of now that you are on a different season, like trying to speak in two languages

Ouch... I don't think I could handle that - I grump enough at having to attend the office Christmas lunch

LOL --- I think yes, myself --- glad its all their busyness and not mine.  Ah, but you're smart to have it 'done' ~ I'll be busy this next few weeks getting all what I must do - done - so I'll think of you and your 'smartness' oh my Queen ~  when I sit and 'think' of all my winging ~  xoxox C Elyse

Relaxing during the holidays is something that many do not seem to do...You're covering the odds and ends of your day quite nicely.

I've always liked December for the simple reason that dreary November is behind us .. and we're one month closer to Spring .. and I also enjoy preparing for Christmas.

Kabu, I was in the clinic today for a checkover....
Even the doc said this time of year the Flu cases multiply..why?...because everyone is too busy, everyone tires themselves out and loses their resistance to fight off the flu (this is the common "ordinary" flu) or colds or infections...as a family, we have to watch ourselves or everyone begins to feel that "blah" feeling....sometimes we just have to say "no" to certain events and get-togethers...

I used to dread December with a deep and all-encompassing sense
of doom. Too much to do, too many people to please, not enough time, not enough money. The bah! humbug! still gets hold of me, usually in Nov., but now I have NaNoWriMo to distract me, so this year I'm in an unnaturally good mood and looking forward to all of it.

Kabu
Oh it is nice not to have a lot of parties, gift wrapping, shopping and all that to do when one gets older. My mother kept it up until her death not us we are haveing a restful snuggly party of two.

I agree Kabu I don't think I shall put decorations up this year just put a few flowers on the table, I suppose we have a few blog free days to look forward to, that will be nice. Well it will be a change. Although all the old neighbors complain when I criticize their lighting systems so I have to whack them with a box of cheap chocolates.

Wow, that brings back memories. I think I like the way they do their school year in Australia! My children would love that, too. Thank you for your comments on my blog! And, as always, for the encouragement.

They sound like a busy lot down there! And here I thought Aussies spent all day at the beach drinking Fosters...
