You have me hooked on these cast of characters. You bring each to life well.

It is a great article...excellent at Blogit where we just write mostly

one draft...but the beginning doesn't grab me...and it has to. Shorten/ clip the first linesso that I have no high grass to walk through, make me want to read on....as a readerIam lazy...so grab me.

But then it is so good I wanted to read to the end.

I enjoyed reading it--very interesting.  When grandson came home for his first furlough after Marine Boot Camp, he presented me with his picture in the dress blues in a very nice frame.  While son and he were talking, I found out for the first time that the picture was taken in a fake open down the back uniform fastened with velcro and that the pants he had on didn't even match.  Son said it was the same for his Navy picture back in 1982 when he was wearing shorts.  They do that for speed.  They each just slip their arms into the same fake uniform and slap on a hat, and there you are.  I thought that was so funny.

Tzippy
It's good but requires some minor 'copy editing'. For example: It's Marine Corps (pronounced 'core'), and should always be in caps; the evening doesn't whistle, the evening wind does; aromas aren't 'warm', they don't have a temperature; people are lean, not lien...There are a few things that sound a trifle awkward, and might be revised a bit...I hope this helps. If you wish, I's be glad to do a more thorough job - let me know...
