I feed the squirrel that lives on our street. He is so tame that he eats out of my hand.

Pssst....I wouldn't be able to bear this snow. We don't have it in my part
of the world. We don't even have the kind of cold for me to put a sweater on.

Hi Kabu! Loved the haiku
I need to start writing mine again.  Maybe with the holidays approaching I will get inspired, no?  I just saw a couple of flakes tonight on my way home from work.  Not sure I'm ready for them yet  lol  Hope all is well!

Mr. Graysome might take more interest in the snow if he sees Charlie out in it...

Now this was a great post, weather report, aviary scene of beautiful flying diners and then poetry. I simply loved it. Tiptoeing through Kabu's varied talents. Keep it up.

Wonderful word poem, Kabu.
I especially like the last four lines, that one must go in your "Gnome, Sweet Gnome" book.

Nice little writing Kabu, people have the flue here already I suppose that is what it is when one can't hold one's head up we used to have chickens like that. I think I am going to say goodnight, I don't want you to catch it.

LOVE the Haiku - the haikubuski LOL ~ and I was at the local starbux yesterday when I wanted a coffee --- and they are 'gnomish' at this one place... "gnome what you want?" and "gnome matter whatever..." too many to remember --- and I looked around to see if you were there... ~ snow --- flurries --- pretty and it's windy and cold here today - but not ready for the cold just yet so - I'll bustle up and think of y'all with  the warmest ~ C Elyse

Kabu
I'm sighing too - like Mr. G, I don't like the white stuff either! Mind you, we haven't had any yet - down here it's been raining, but at least I don't have to shovel that...

I am planning on sailing south with the gnomes at this first hint of winter here.  Love the types of verses.  Snowflakes are so magical.

Oh yes, I'm ready for it.  But, the sun is shining here and there are still colored leaves on the trees and it's not cold enough for snow.  But, it will come, and you just reminded me that I have no birdseed and have not yet hung any feeders.  I think I have time yet.  I still see seeds in the woods and weeds.

Just as I was reading this Grandmummy...I saw the most precious, beautiful little squirrel.  How sweet they are.  I wonder if it was my Peanuts come to visit me?  You and Poppy enjoy all your little critters.  I wish we could hang bird and squirrel feeders here.  Too many loose cats and dogs running round.

I love the haiku...and I love you...
