This one is absolutely true right now -- and I hope anyone who reads it might check out my blog "Revolution!" to see what I mean.
Also, you're right about publication not being all its cracked up to be. My first novel came out this year, and I've had nothing but self-doubts ever since. The actual act of writing is what I'll always love. The act of getting my ideas onto paper and developing them into something of which I can be proud. Writing is a very cathartic process, and a very private one, and I'm almost sorry I try to sell my work (though part of the writing process is also the need to have others read what's been written!).
