Pine cones? I could mail you some, but you'd probably PLANT them!
Kabu,
One thing that I learned early on, about crock-pot creations, is that as ingredients adding too many onions and a wedge of cabbage, could probably have a gourmet salivating over a pot of spam stew! Just thinking about this, has me thinking about digging out the ol' crock-pot and washing it up for another tour of duty. No spam stew, though. Yuck! Sounds absolutely awful!

We had a long 36-hours of strong winds and rain storms here
and the weather channel's talking about blizzards in the Dakotas and Michigan, so you're probably right about a change coming. Snow, probably.  I made a crockpot full of your Wiley's fat burning soup a couple days ago -- it smells heavenly for an hour or so before it can be eaten. You're right, it does make a home cozy and comforting.

Can feel it here too, Kabu. It's winter-tire time. Nothing beats walking into a home with smells of something delicious bubbling in the kitchen. Perfect!

It seems so strange to think of snow in October, but that stew would make it lovely.

Nothing like
warm stew to warm the heart and change the mood.  What a lovely place to take a walk in!  Hope nature can spare you a few pine cones to paint, I bet it will!
