Writing in the dark is kind of like dancing in the dark.  Both are very private ways of self-expression.  You do it so well.

Oh yes! This is absolutely beautiful. The pain is being expelled in the writing so it is no longer dark but beautifully gone. You are such a romantic, lovely work.

"and at times they reveal things I don't want the world to know I need". I guess at times a decision has to be made whether to go in the first person or third person or create a whole new character.

Well of course  Simone and you can put it into words even if they hurt, but I expect it is your way of dealing with things and it is much better than black despair
