Jeff... lol... I tried to explain to her before how our beliefs
greatly affect our lives.  She just didn't believe me.

Also, if you know you can't have something, you want it that much more
My therapist doesn't like the idea that I don't "diet" anymore.

I say that thought process makes sense in the short term. I find though that when I give up something for a bit I no longer crave it.
