Sinopsis or synopsis is a summarization, but usually not included as an actual part of the work. Sequeling is a writing device and baked within the novel usually at the post-event next chapter.

I had not heard this before.

I use the word 'sinopsis' for that kind of summary of what has gone before.

I am learning a lot, reading your posts here!  Inspiring, too, to read the interview and think how I would answer the same questions.
