Re: Re: Re:
You got it!  Jason, more like a brother, had problems, but what a wonderful guy!  I will tell you in short, long version later if you want lol!, but he basically shot himself in front of me (within 10 ft.) in my bedroom at my home...I like to think it was an accident.  Very traumatic!  It happened last Sept. 5.  I didn't know but recently found out that I had a nervous breakdown.  I'm healing everyday with the Grace of God!

Re: Re: Re: And we share
Thank you!  I may need that...You know...what amazes me?  Is the network of people amoung us that have been in our shoes.  And more than that, how willing everyone is to help one another out in those moments.  You do the same...

I you ever need to...email me. Sometimes a perfect stranger who's been there and done that can knock some sense into us. Just keep on keeping on...

Re: And we share
Awesome!  I picked up my 2 month chip tonight.  I think...maybe I'm mistaken...but I thought I read in your profile that you are from Sunshine State?  Well, I was there in West Palm Beach..treatment.  Thanks for letting me know.

Re:
I have no problem telling you..."beer" is really used in here because it's more universal.  I was injured a few times 15 yrs ago...playing sports, work, etc...Because of that, I was prescribed large amounts of pain medicine.  My problem isn't alcohol, rather, it was opiates.  I am enjoying sobriety to the point that I haven't had a reason to drink alcohol either. But, to answer your question, I stopped because my family was noticing me fading away.  Wasn't caring much about anything...and If you are still interested, I can tell you more about what happened to my best friend last Sept...which made me go off the side of the cliff.

What made you give it up, may I ask?  Although, based on your writings, you sound like a MUCH happier person for it.
