Thankfully a meal was something I always took for granted at college...I never really gave much thought to how much of a struggle it could be to get a meal...As always McDonald's is seemingly there to help people.

Sunny, you describe a typical life of a college student, and it is like slavery.  Outrageous ripoff tuitions put us in debt for life now.  When I attended UK in 1969 the tuition was $165.00 per semester.  Plus books, and we lived three blocks from campus, so I walked every day, and my mother packed me  a thermos of soup and coffee.  That believe it or not, kept me going more than anything.

business school in my day
It is a struggle for sure to attend college if you are poor or putting yourself thru.  You had to really want to go badly enough to go through what you went through/LBJ

Wow, that was a struggle, Dear Sunny..
This is why I still don't have a degree, just a bunch of credits, lol..I've paid as I went, always juggling jobs and family. I had some help from my mother and once my place of employment paid for a few credit hours, but even with what I could add myself, never enough to throw myself into it wholly and finish up..and our income levels were too high to qualify for federal aid, sooo..with my son and his dream of becoming either a lawyer or a politician, private student loans lured..and lordy, do I wish I would have shouted NO - talk about vulture capitalism..it is debt you can never ever pay off quickly, because of the escalating interest charges....well, unless son gets a full scholarship to law school and becomes wealthy thereafter, haha..I laugh to keep from screaming..
Thanks for sharing!

I really enjoyed reading this comment post.  You just proved my point.
I know you must have, at times, wondered if you were going to make it.
