I always get a kick out of how you format your replies. Do you write poetry?
Anyway, sticking to basics - if GM had failed, it would most likely have been reorganized, possibly broken up. That's seems to be the most common outcome of corporate bankruptcy. Many companies are liquidated, but unless their product or service is entirely obsolete and there is no more market for them a void isn't created in the marketplace. Someone, somehow would have filled it.
And, yes, business - big and small - has to be strong if the economy is to grow. Without a strong private sector, you have unemployment and a shrinking tax base. That's why the Bush tax cuts increased revenues - more private sector business activity generated more taxable income.

Obama and Bush both gave gov't money to GM.
so how is Gm "Obama Motors"?
diffreence is Bush's money isnt paid back

Rush obviously doesn't. He's in it for the money. Any foolish mistruth he'll put out for sake of the $ he receives for his dribble.
I wonder what would have happened if Gm had gone under.
how much money would have disappeared from the economy.

you say big suiness has to be strong for the ecnomy because of the jobs it produces
and somehow you parrot the issue taken by conservative talking heads that this particular case wasn't.
either it is or it isn't.

walking away from America, what a great and perfect title to the sad tale
that America is winding down to be. But it is a tale that began over 50 years ago with the dumming down of our public schools, liberalizing our universities etc etc.... Your post is of paramount importance a shining light weaved with dark comments by America's darkest elements.
My only hope is that you never waiver, never stop speaking out, and most of all ignore the ignorance of the obama supporters, even if they grace you with their stupidities.
