Re: An example of why professional animal control is necessary.
Sure, majroj. The big cats now lounge around on top of cars or anywhere higher up so that they can see. If you type in cats or pumas or bobcats and Tucson yo will see the growing number being photo'd. My mom and two sisters live very close to a national forest (read desert), so it is to be expected, but there was much less activity decades ago. Not enough land for all the new Puma baby boys, chased out by the old boys.

An example of why professional animal control is necessary.

...both of pets, and of wild things become urban.

In the budget crunch, many areas are devolving animal control to law enforcement.

we have a cage for Mr Graysome on the front balcony or else he goes for a
walk on his lead. The Hawk circles in the sky and the chipmunks chatter angry. He is not able to be part of the environment outside the house. I believe that I would be afraid of Coyotes and Bob cats. Coyotes I think are a lot like Dingoes. Anyway Mr. Graysome is precious as are the other critters here...so I keep 'em separate.
