As long as you keep it respectful and do not make things personal I am fine with you being passionate. I have no problems with people disagree with with me as long as they can keep the exchanges polite and relevant. Many of the conservatives here have made it clear they have no respect for anyone who does not share their views and turn everything into a personal attacks against all of us who follow liberal thinking. I am fully unable to get along with them or have any manner of anything close to a meaningful exchange with them. They only care about being right.
So far while you may disagree with my views I have not seen you be disrespectful towards me and I hope you feel the same about my comments to you. Hopefully you will be on conservative here that I can disagree with and not have to worry about it turning into an insult fest just because I expressed a view you disliked.
I do study history and that is why I disagree with you. If we want to avoid any kind of darkness, we need to be following liberal ideas and promote more tolerance and understanding of all. And trust me I don't 'drink the kool aid'. I study what is going on around me before I make judgements.
You should check out the podcasts I am part at amateurskeptics.com. Despite what one conservative blogger here wishes to claim (He ash yet to listen to a full podcast), it is NOT some hate spewing liberal podcast. We try to promote the ideas of questioning everything and making your judgments based off of the facts you can find and common sense, not just what you are told by one or two sources.

My wife is from Denver and we visit from time to time even though her folks are gone now, we always go to Annie's dinner on 8th ave by the hospital, great food. Politics are a funny bag and I hope you get the Gov. that will be best for your state. Please try to overlook my passion in my blogs, but being a history nut I truly believe we are in for hard times in this country and I hope you are prepared for that when it comes, because it is coming. Drink the kool aid if you must but there is no harm in preparing...Utah Jay
